Sheree Alves, Elementary/Special Educator
Sheree has been sharing her energy and enthusiasm for learning in her classroom for 23 years. She is a graduate from Rhode Island College with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Special Education. She has taught both first and second grades as well as co-taught in a special education classroom in Tiverton, RI. Sheree also earned a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Rhode Island College and is currently a math specialist at the middle school level.
Sue Cardoza, Reading Specialist
Sue began her teaching career 25 years ago as a classroom teacher. She has been a reading specialist for the last 18 years at Pocasset Elementary School in Tiverton, RI. She holds two graduate degrees from Rhode Island College, an M.A. in Teaching in Elementary Education and an M.Ed. in Reading. In 2020, like so many other educators, Sue transitioned to a fully integrative technology teaching experience that allowed students to use a variety of tech tools to practice skills, communicate, and express oneself. Most recently, Sue completed two years of intensive training in structured literacy based on the science of reading. Sue was born and raised in southeastern MA where she lives with her husband and daughter. She enjoys reading, exploring historical museums and sites, and working on house projects that involve painting and redecorating.
Danielle Daglieri Singh, Art Educator K-12
Danielle has been teaching art for 17 years. She holds her B.S Degree in Art Education from Rhode Island College and is pursuing a masters degree in the education field. She is currently teaching art in the North Kingstown School Department where she serves as Curriculum Coordinator for the visual arts. Her focus is on integrative arts, and spreading the importance of educating through a variety of learning modalities.
BETHANY ST. PIERRE, ART EDUCATOR K-12
Bethany St. Pierre is a Pre-K through 12 certified art educator who currently works in Newport, RI. In January 2010, she received a Bachelor of Science degree from Rhode Island College in Art Education, with a concentration in Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design, and a minor in Psychology. Bethany has taught in multiple Rhode Island school districts including Barrington, Central Falls, Cumberland, and Tiverton. She is particularly enthusiastic to return to her hometown of Tiverton, to now teach and share her passion for the arts. She strongly believes in introducing her students to as many tools, materials, and techniques to help support their creative process,
while challenging them to solve artistic problems. Bethany was previously a dance teacher for 15 years, teaching in the styles of acro, ballet, hip hop, jazz, musical theater, and tap. Now she enjoys working as a teaching artist
for CORE after school, teaching art and dance. During her free time, Bethany
enjoys spending time on the water with her husband and working for her
parents at Standish Boat Yard, Inc in Tiverton.
